Powders and granules are mechanically ground from electrolytic refined chromium material of the appropriate purity, subsequently sieved into the required particle size.
Electrolytic refined chromium powders are used for production of targets.
Electrolytic refined chromium granules are used as evaporated sources for applying chromium coatings in vacuum.
Products:
- 4N (high-purity) electrolytic refined chromium powder with Cr content of 99.99% or 99.98% (MP-ERCr 99.99; MP-ERCr 99.98). Particle size: 56-280 micron (-50 mesh), 56-160 micron (-100 mesh) with the main size particle content of 93.5% min. Customized material may be available upon request.
- 3N5 electrolytic refined chromium powder with Cr purity of 99.95% (MP-ERCr-1, -280 micron, (-50 mesh); MP-ERCr-1, -150 micron, (-100 mesh).
- 3N-2N6 (low-purity) electrolytic refined chromium powder with Cr content of 99.9% or 99.6% (MP-ERCr 99.9; PM-ERCr 99.6). Particle size: 56-280 micron for MP-ERCr99.9 with the main size content of 85% min; 0-63 micron for MP-ERCr99.6 with the main size content of 95% min; customized material may be available upon request.
- 3N5-4N electrolytic refined chromium granules of 99.95% and 99.99% purity for evaporated sources (ERCr 99.95-PM; ERCr 99.99-PM). Granule size varies from 2.5 up to 5.0 mm, with the main size content of 88% min; customized material may be available upon request.

Applications vary from metallurgy of heat–resistant superalloys, electrical engineering in compositions with copper, and deposition of thin films and functional coatings using PVD methods, to production of electronic components, large-format displays, tools, watch cases, household appliances, tinted glasses, car parts and accessories, machines and appliances, as well as others.
In thin-film deposition in vacuum by means of thermal evaporation electrolytic refined chromium is used in flake or granule form, by means of ion bombardment spraying or arc evaporation – in the form of various compacted products. For target production by powder metallurgy (PM) methods chromium ERCr in flake form is mechanically ground into MP-ERCr powder.
