Ti, Ca Hydrides
Titanium hydride powder is used to create a protective atmosphere during heat treatment of parts.
Calcium hydride is used to produce pure hydrogen, to dehydrate petroleum products, and for other applications.
Calcium Hydride
Calcium hydride is made by hydrogenating of metallic calcium with hydrogen. It is a brittle substance that actively interacts with air moisture and water. At temperatures above 800 °C, calcium hydride decomposes into calcium and hydrogen.
Calcium hydride is supplied in the form of granules with particle sizes below 3.2 mm (+3.2mm size content is 10% max) or in the form of irregularly shaped lumps.
Titanium Hydride
Titanium hydride powder and mixes on its basis are used for production of parts shaped as of briquettes and pellets by powder metallurgy methods.
Titanium hydride powder is made by saturating titanium sponge with hydrogen.
Particle size: below 280 microns (+025...+028 size content is 3% max).
Titanium hydride (formula: TiH2).
